Affiliate software for Stripe
Refindie connects to your Stripe account, attributes every payment and subscription renewal to the affiliate who sent the customer, and calculates commissions for you. From $12/month or $79 lifetime, with no transaction fees.

Stripe has no built-in affiliate or referral program feature. It knows a customer paid, but not which partner, creator or customer sent them. To pay commissions on Stripe revenue, you need something that remembers the referral when a visitor lands on your site and links it to the Stripe payment that follows.
That is what Refindie does: a referral cookie on your site, two metadata keys on your Stripe object, and commissions calculated from your real Stripe events. No spreadsheet matching payments to affiliates by hand.
Four steps, about 15 minutes for a developer. Your existing Stripe checkout stays as it is.
In Settings > Integration, connect Stripe through Stripe's own OAuth screen. Refindie never asks for your secret key.
Paste one script tag in your site's <head>. It reads the affiliate's referral link and stores it in a cookie for the duration you choose.
<script
async
src="https://www.refindie.com/refindie.js"
data-program-id="YOUR_PROGRAM_ID"
></script>Send window.refindie_metadata to your server and attach it as metadata on the Checkout Session, PaymentIntent, subscription or invoice you create. Two keys, a few lines of code.
const session = await stripe.checkout.sessions.create({
mode: "subscription",
// ...your line items and URLs
metadata: {
program_id: String(refindieMetadata.program_id),
ref_code: refindieMetadata.ref_code,
},
});Refindie listens to your Stripe events and credits the right affiliate when the payment succeeds, including every subscription renewal.
Full examples for PaymentIntents, the Subscriptions API and invoices are in the Stripe setup guide.
Stripe doesn't copy metadata between objects, so the referral goes on the object you create. Refindie knows where to look for each flow below.
| Your Stripe integration | Referral goes on | Tracking |
|---|---|---|
| Checkout Session, one-time payment | Session metadata | Tracked |
| Checkout Session, subscription | Session metadata | First payment + renewals |
| Checkout with free trial or 100% coupon | Session metadata | First paid invoice + renewals |
| Delayed payment methods (SEPA Debit, bank transfer) | Session metadata | Once the payment succeeds |
| PaymentIntents (Payment Element, Card Element, mobile SDKs) | PaymentIntent metadata | Tracked |
| Subscriptions API (no Checkout) | Subscription metadata | First payment + renewals |
| Stripe Invoicing (one-off invoices) | Invoice metadata | Tracked |
| Payment Links, Buy Button, Pricing Table | No dynamic metadata | Affiliate promotion codes, or the Referral API |
| Legacy Charges API | Not supported | Use the Referral API |
Not on a supported flow? The Referral API records a sale server-to-server with your program API key.
Pay 20% of each sale or a fixed amount per conversion, per program.
Choose how long affiliates earn on a customer's renewals, for example 12 months or for the lifetime of the subscription.
Decide how many days a click stays attributed to the affiliate who sent it.
Give affiliates their own Stripe promotion code. Refindie detects it on Checkout Sessions and invoices, even without metadata (Growth and Unlimited plans).
Set the balance an affiliate must reach, and payouts run on your schedule once they cross it.
Clicks, conversions and revenue for every affiliate and every link, so you know who actually drives Stripe revenue.
Not sure what rate to offer? Model it with the free affiliate commission calculator.
Revenue, transactions and clicks by day, week or month, per affiliate and per link.
Rewardful is the usual choice for Stripe affiliate programs. Here is how the cost compares.
| Rewardful | Refindie | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $49 to $149+/month | $12 to $45/month |
| One-time option | None | $79 Lifetime |
| Transaction fees | None | None |
| Several programs, one account | One program per plan | Yes |
No. Stripe processes payments, subscriptions and promotion codes, but it does not track which affiliate sent a customer or calculate commissions. You need an affiliate tool that connects to Stripe, like Refindie, to attribute payments to affiliates.
A little. You paste one script tag on your site and add two metadata keys (program_id and ref_code) to the Stripe object you already create at checkout. Most developers do it in under 15 minutes. If you only use Payment Links, affiliate promotion codes work without code.
Yes. For Stripe Checkout subscriptions and the Subscriptions API, Refindie credits the first payment and every renewal to the referring affiliate, within the commission duration you set.
Partially. Payment Links, the Buy Button and Pricing Tables cannot carry dynamic metadata, so attribution relies on affiliate promotion codes. For full link-based tracking, use Stripe Checkout or the Referral API.
Refindie calculates what each affiliate is owed and automates payouts once they reach the minimum payout threshold you set, on the schedule you choose.
Refindie starts at $12/month, goes up to $45/month for unlimited affiliate revenue, or $79 one-time for the Lifetime plan, with no transaction fees. Rewardful starts at $49/month.
